I might go out for a slow little run later just to get my legs and head to relax, after the sun's down. Otherwise, today was the beginning day of new cross-training; work reverse lunges and modified dead-lifts with emphasis on form, and a 1 min. plank, side planks, bird-dogs, tricep dips, modified push-ups on the bench, and something they call farmer's walk with heavy weights.

Trained glutes and hamstrings. I try every now and then to incorporate Romanian deadlifts into my routine, but they’re so frustrating. I make sure to brace my core, squeeze my glutes, bend my knees slightly, push my hips back while maintaining a neutral spine, but in the end all I feel is my heart beating out of my chest and my lower back crying for help. Somehow I just keep getting it wrong. Part of my problem is that I instinctively squat as I’m lowering the barbell/kettlebell, especially as I get winded towards the end of the set. Otherwise, I don’t have a clue.

Anyway, I made up for it by doing hip thrusts afterwards, which I can always count on to work.

Just did a small night walk to complete my 10k daily steps. Something in my body wasn't happy with me jogging a few steps yesterday, though the flare seems to have gone down a bit now and my last 2k steps were better than the ones earlier in the day. I just keep trying.

The flare from yesterday seemed to settle down and the leg is better than it has been in weeks today - after being the worst in weeks yesterday. It really is a strange one. Anyway, did my night walk to clock 11,000 steps today.

Trained my back. My curiosity and ambition has returned as of late. I’ve gone to the gym more often, incorporated new exercises, varied my routine, pushed myself harder, and I’m actually having fun. Just a little. Having to hold myself accountable and figure things out on my own is discouraging, but doing so makes it all the more rewarding when I prevail.
