It is a real thing in so many rural areas. Fried is my favorite but stew can be good for some leftovers. Us Beverly Hillbillies types call it chicken of the trees and tell folks it tastes like a bushy tailed rat. LOL Squirrel was one of my mom's favorites. She never cared much for venison.

Today was home made pasta sauce and cheese tortellini with garlic bread.

Indian pancakes, braised beef shank with tomatoes and potatoes, and bubble tea. They didn’t give me a straw for my bubble tea unfortunately, and I also didn’t get the dipping sauce I’ve gotten with the Indian pancakes in the past, but that part wasn’t a big deal because I dipped them in the sauce of my other dish
