8 Months Sober

#4
The funny thing is that it's been ridiculously easy for some time now owing to my highly detached state.
Could it just feel easy? i ask this because often times, when something "fits" in the timing of when it needs to be done... it can feel effortless. However it is still a difficult task, just being done at the right time with everything aligned in the best way possible for the best outcome.

We often attempt to accomplish difficult tasks before we are ready... or miss the window and play catch-up. These can make it much more difficult. Not impossible though.

It sounds like everything is aligned for you. i hope it continues to be so.

I suspect it's a consequence of a legitimate pathology or personality disorder. I'm often massively malnourished, as an example, because it's difficult to find the motivation to eat. I am also indifferent to the physiological discomfort associated with hunger, as well as thirst. It takes absolutely no effort or determination to avoid eating or drinking.

Congratulations on 8 months of sobriety!

Possibly, but the consequences of alcoholism are so severe being pathologically sober is probably a step up.

You might have to be careful with meal planning to make sure you're not injured by this.

What level of malnourishment are we talking about?

I come very close to fainting when standing.
