I get newsletters from Eric Leckie. I received this message in my email and thought everyone should here it. And here is the message:

Hey guys,

Do you ever feel like the years are blurring together?

Like January was yesterday and now it’s August, and you can’t quite remember where the time went?

That’s not just life speeding up.

It’s you stuck in cruise control.

When we’re young, everything is new.

Your brain is firing on all cylinders, recording every detail.

First kiss. First job. First time you bombed a speech or nailed a pull-up.

But as you get older, your brain gets efficient - and lazy.

It stops recording the routine.

Same morning. Same gym. Same drive to work. Same thoughts. Same people.

It files those days away under "nothing new" - and just like that, weeks vanish without a trace.

Time isn’t going faster.

You’re just not laying down memories.

The good news is you can flip the switch.

The secret to slowing down time is simple: give your brain something worth remembering.

Say yes to things that feel new, challenging, awkward, exciting.

Train somewhere different.

Try a cold plunge.

Learn salsa.

Have a tough conversation.

Book the trip.

Take a different route.

Shake things up and break the loop.

These moments are like bookmarks in your timeline.

They give structure to the story of your life.

If you want to feel more alive, stop waiting for some perfect plan.

Your brain needs novelty and intensity.

Without it, your days blur together and you wake up wondering where the last ten years went.

You’re not tired. You’re uninspired.

Get off autopilot.

Break the routine.

Inject something into your day that future-you will actually remember.

Because a well-remembered life is a life that feels full.

Catch you in the next edition & KEEP GOING
