A possibility to get better....

Black sheep of my family....

Maybe this is not for everybody - its a little extreme, but I am somewhat an extremist. So, what I currently do is, getting well, getting rid of medication, no alcohol, lots of sport, no or little food only. So, I explain:
Sleep: I can only sleep late - do not know why (from 0100 to 0600 maybe..) but its enough. I read a lot - no other choice.
Outside: Night 22 Celsius, day 38 Celsius and 95% humidity (means: you really sweat a lot).
Sport: I walk every day from the town to the border (that's approx 20 KM, including some shopping or taking money etc.) and wear a sweat jacket, although its really hot. We start around 10:00 and are back in the late afternoon (16:00?)
Drink: I only drink tea, water, juice and eat one "maggie" cube per day (to have a little salt). Around 7 - 8 litres a day, when walking I have 6 liters on my back. Of course, you have to make short breaks of 5 to 10 minutes to drink and rest a little.
Food: My wife eats every day fish with a spicy sauce. So the fish and some rice is for her - I just take a little of the sauce and eat some bread with it (baguette). Sufficient.

What I found out it, that suddenly I am so exhausted, that I do not even need medication like before. In fact, I do not even think about it, I do not feel anything like I miss something. Its rather by noon that I realise, I should take something. This is a good think. Sometimes, when coming home here - I just lay down, try to watch a movie... and boum: fall asleep for an hour (this is maybe the reason, why I sleep bad at night). But I can sleep long enough when dead.

So, I started this now since nearly a week and will continue until the end of the month (flight back is on 31st). Goal is simple: get rid of everything and live finally a normal life. I hope it is possible.

By the way, its really nice here, lots of cashew apples for the moment, lots of palm trees, mangoes are coming in some weeks, nature is just green and lush - real "African bush".

If I cannot continue (like yesterday, after 15 KM I was just no longer able to bear walking and the heat) - I waited for the bus, - it's 30 cents for downtown. People are nice.

Why do I write this? Just to give you some courage - you can win, if you fight. We all fall from time to time (and I have no illusion - it will happen to me again, for sure), but there are as well good times, when you get stronger and life is suddenly worth living. This is all I wanted to say.

I am doing every day more - my target is 30. But I have to start earlier. And carrying 6 liters of water on your back is something. Bought new shoes yesterday - broke them. Yes, 25 or so is a lot - but its fun.
