Goal update... left the house :) Not only did I leave the house but had an amazing walk around the park! I realised after about 20 mins I was looking at the floor as I was walking, so I lifted my head and saw how pretty it was. I felt my mood lifting as I felt like I started to breath for the fist time in ages. I took some awesome pics on my phone and realised how much I missed photography.

I even brought a homeless person a coffee. Someone I probably wouldn't have even seen yesterday.

Goal for tomorrow..... feel like I do today

Agree this is a great idea for a thread. My goals for the week
1. Take my newly prescribed meds
2. Take real lunch hours at work at least two days
3. Drink water during the day at least 2 liter refillable bottles
4. Exercise at least two times during work week
Well...I managed to do 1 & 3...so still a work in progress...sigh...

I'm off this coming week as have to use up excess vacation hours... so goals for this week
1. Continue to take meds (uping to full dosage so hope is ok)
2. Read a book
3. Continue to drink at least 2 liters of water a day
4. Exercise every day--add try yoga on wii
5. Try meditation
6. Don't answer unimportant work iPhone emails even though will hear it "bing"...so just look at phone once a day
7. Live in the moment with my husband ie. don't spend time worrying about what happening at work while not there
8, If do bring work home e.g. grant report that is due work on it only 1 hour a day

You know what? One of the things that will make someone feel the best is getting some exercise, which you did and helping someone else, which you did. Sounds like you scored big. I hope your streak continues.

Reading this thread makes me realize I'm a very bad bad goal setter hahaha Must be why it's relatively easy for me to reach them, huh? I don't want to go and disappoint myself all the time, yanno. My list usually looks more like "shower... get out of pajamas... make it to work..." You guys are so freaking motivated! I seriously hope you don't get down on yourselves when you can't/don't "exercise "every day". I mean, damn, for how long? Every day for a week? 2 weeks? A month? That's a long time not to miss a day. You guys are rock stars. I'm just a rock!

Well...I managed to do 1 & 3...so still a work in progress...sigh...

I'm off this coming week as have to use up excess vacation hours... so goals for this week
1. Continue to take meds (uping to full dosage so hope is ok)--Yes
2. Read a book -- Yes
3. Continue to drink at least 2 liters of water a day--Yes
4. Exercise every day--add try yoga on wii---did go swimming every day
5. Try meditation--nope need to find one that is five minutes to start
6. Don't answer unimportant work iPhone emails even though will hear it "bing"...so just look at phone once a day-Yes
7. Live in the moment with my husband ie. don't spend time worrying about what happening at work while not there-Sort of
8, If do bring work home e.g. grant report that is due work on it only 1 hour a day
- avoided all together eg denial until today

So thought should update...so for this coming week
1. Continue to take meds- don't appear to be having any side effects...
2. Exercise every day- try to go swimming before work...which will mean not getting in early but probably just on time
3. Continue to drink water every day- helps keep the headaches away due to meds
4. Prepare for and somehow be pro-active in the high pressured work meetings, complete assignments past due and meet with boss to have realistic task list for week (may be handed a PIP so have to think about that as well)
5. Make it to Friday when have therapist appointment
6. When at home in the evenings... live in the moment with my husband...
7. Read and really internalize a positive affirmation every day

- Driving refresher lessons - get confident with driving especially on motorways.
- Next 3/4 months - get a car, even if basic. Need to be confident driving alone and on motorways.
- continue with Gcse English and Maths evening courses. (I am actually 28 but I left school at 15) Get to the exams and hopefully pass them in May/June.
- get through Jury service in January.- Hold my new job down until the summer when I look for a better one
- Deal with some of the issues I have around my body and the way it looks.
- try not to worry too much about my mums financial issues. If the worst comes to the worst I will find a way to deal with it and survive.
