What have you accomplished today?

Got my arse out of bed, got to work, got to see my sister who i haven't seen for maybe a year. Laughed twice at people's jokes at work, genuine laughs :) laughed at my mam and sister ridiculing each other (maybe not so good, went a bit too far)

I cleaned up my apartment a bit. It looks slightly less like a disaster zone now
Well done. Seriously, there was one time I finally got into gear and cleared the montain of post I had, found unopened post 6 months olds. Moldy dishes are a common sight in my house, but it does feel good when you have clean up.

Got a little bit of good news in the form of an email at the end of a very bad day. My endocrinologist messaged me saying that my A1C has improved and I am elated upon learning that. Still have lots of work to do and it's only one step in a long process, but by the same token it is progress. I have been missing a lot of my pills and my management of my figures is no where near as disciplined as it ought to be. However, any improvement in my A1C after this long is a welcome blessing, especially if my endocrinologist messaged me directly about it.

I won't pretend to understand what A1C means but i'm glad it's good news and sounds like very good news. Why don't you take the meds? just forgetting, side effects? If i remember to take my antidepressants for a full month I'll be posting and expecting a standing ovation :)

That's good, most people can only do that with other peoples parents :) Seriously, well done.
Thanks, Mike, that's nice. I've also just this minute accomplished something else - I finally remade my bed  A bit ashamed it's taken me about a week but it feels good to have a proper bed again

Aw, thanks Mike! A1C is your average blood glucose levels over the course of three months and it is something that Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetics need to take care of. As long as the insulin and medication are managed properly the A1C should be fine, but it involves a lot of dedication. As for my medications, same reason why my A1C has been higher XD. Unmotivated, and lazy :P, plus lots of problems on my plate. Hoping to change that for the time being.

Also, two more things to be happy about. Received feedback on two assignments in the class that I am failing. Only have missed 4 points out of the last 40, so that means an A- for those two. Pretty good.

Unfortunately I didn't bring an assignment to another class so my points will be docked.

I put my bike on the car and drove to the beach today. I rode along the bike path that follows the beach for an hour or so, it was cold and windy but I found it refreshing. Might not sound like much of an achievement but it was something I had wanted to do for a long time and just hadn't been motivated.

A tough workout with some of the rugby team. I'm so sore now, but it's good. Also finally got around to weighing myself. I was too nervous to do that for a while. Not too bad, considering the low quality of my diet.

well done dugga, sounds like something i'd like to do. if i had a car. oh and a bike :) cold and windy doesn't bother me once i have my arse out of the house, it means there aren't too many other people about.

hope you do it again sometime soon, sounds like a great way to spend a few hours out of the house.
