My username has a fairly complicated story, but it might be interesting.

kôshin or koushin (depending on how you want to transcribe it) is a japanese compound word, consisting of (紅) and shin (心).

( or kurenai) means crimson or scarlet and is often used in japanese literature to signify fall. My favorite japanese book is called The Scarlet Gang of Asakusa and that also played a role in me chosing this name.

(shin or kokoro) means heart. I used to spray and draw comics a lot when I was younger. Back then I'd sign everything with shin. Because japanese has a lot of homonyms, I'd change the meaning of what shin meant to me, based on my mood. Sometimes it would be 真(shin), which means truth or sincerity and sometimes it would be 新(shin) which means new, like a new beginning or something.

紅心 (kôshin) as such doesn't exist in the japanese language, it's a compound word that I thought of. I think there's a word like that in chinese, but that's not what I mean haha.
The reason that I added both these words together is because there's a word in japanese called sekishin (赤心), which combines the signs for red and heart. The meaning of this word is true heart, or something that comes from the bottom of the heart.
With me replacing the red with scarlet, I try to put an emphasis on the fact, that depression might be felt from deep within the bottom of ones heart, but beneath that, if we go deeper, there's a part that's not affected by the depression. A part that shines through from time to time. Something that gives me hope for improvement.

When I was in the Navy, I was called Mox by everyone. It's the first three letters of my last name.

Over time it morphed into Moxman somehow.

The Navy, before I got sick, was a great time and I loved it. I felt so in control of my life for the first time. I was away from the toxic home life and was happy.

My Husband said the same when he served in the armed forces . It was like a big family, it was belonging and gave him a sense of security for 10 and half years.

A still frame from a Joy Division song Atmosphere, when ever I am spiralling and find myself taking it out on my partner I make myself listen to that song as it is the essence of him, it has never failed to reconnect me to him, touch wood. It reminds me how fragile he is too.

Mine is completely unattached to anything about me. If you knew me and were to guess what name I would use this wouldn't come up

The only thing that connects me to it was a friend at my old job had the name but he spelled it differently.

I wasn't sure how long I was going to post on here or if it was a good idea or not. Obviously I decided it was.

My name was my middle name combined my birthday jumbled into the least numbers possible Abigail1213

A couple days after I joined SF I entered chat and was freaking out about mosquito in my bedroom (still terrified of mosquitoes) so the users who were in chat that day began calling me Abibug. It went around and my nickname slowly migrated to Abibug. I got tired of explaining to new members why others called me Abibug so I changed it to make more sense and fit me better.
