Cannot post pictures in some subforums

Copy/pasting does nothing; dragging and dropping the file does nothing; I have no Attach button.

I'm not making this up and am a software developer. I'm thinking there must be something related to my account status, even as that seems technically a bit odd. Is it possible there was a site update and one of us is getting an older version of something from cache? (No, technically that seems almost impossible..)

I don't think you're making it up at all. It sounds like something has gone a little wonky, at least in that section of the forum. Someone will need to go look and see if they can figure out what's going on there. While the picture method of attaching isn't working, those other methods should have worked. So, since they don't that seems to indicate something else.

hmm That is odd then. Maybe there is also something related to limited accounts. You come off limited access tomorrow @DouglasW so should, hopefully, no longer be an issue. As for everyone else, this remains some kind of issue here and there, depending on the way files are uploaded. pft

Walker, did you mean the Google issue would only affect some members? I just went to that thread and tried all methods (Attach files, button + link, button + dragging, copy/paste) and all worked for me as usual.

No, not really, but only some people seem to be having an issue working it out. There are so many ways to get a photo on here that I think it's only affecting certain people because of a certain WAY they're uploading. @Auri

Sure yes, I get that. I believe you. It might have something to do with the limited access of the account. @DouglasW (You come off limited tomorrow, Ill change it for you) Sorry, I know it's annoying not to post pics, I post a bunch also.

The world is being deprived of my art! But yeah I will try tomorrow. And will update this thread of the account change is the issue.

So, with my account restriction lifted, I was able to do drag and drop a file into editor, and use the image insert button, which now does work for a local file. I also have the Attach files button back, assuming it would work too.

Just to say, it doesn't feel logical to allow restricted users to post with moderation but not allow them to include images. Sounds like this was not a purposeful choice, from this thread discussion.

Indeed. Must be a fluke in the way the software is set up. Much of this is an out of the box system which we're then adding or subtracting from. That must be a weird quirk.
