I’m on fb constantly but need this to have anonymity so I’ll just be here waiting patiently for things to work after the changes

I'm confused about this statement.
Site Maintenance and updating in progress today. From 5:00 AM GMT / 10:00 AM EST friday/ 30 November until complete sometime over weekend there will be intermittent outages of up to 90 minutes, and multiple changes in appearance on forum.

My love of SF outweighed my revulsion for FB, so I made an account the other day. Since I didn't give them any personal information, including my real name, they asked for my picture and then disabled the account. Oh, and I'd also selected 1905 as my birth year. Hey it was an option, why not:rolleyes:

THEN, during the weekend the site will likely go down several times for roughly 90 minutes each time while adjusts are made.
Each time the site comes "back up" it will look different and have more functions.
The reason this is happening is so that when glitches / issues arise, they can be fixed. But they can't be fixed while the site is still up and running. I hope this makes sense and helps

We'll all make it back at the same time, right? Ultimately we should only lose all sure functions for about 90 minutes or 2 hours (at 10am Greenwich time for the record) After that just a bit of flaky behavior here and there. Everyone hold tight and relax.
