Technically not no sleep, but I'm back to my Saturday pattern of waking very early. Mind you that's my normal pattern lately. Watch said I slept from 2am until 6.44am, which about matches my perception. Tried to go back to sleep but brain was not having it so got up and made coffee.

Sounds like my life! But mine is tea not coffee! One could say that it is my life to a tea!

Randomly got tired around 7 or 8 pm, fell asleep and woke up shortly after 12 am. Now raging as I often do upon waking over bad memories, regrets and my general life situation.

but I had an interesting dream, for once. I found myself in a new apartment, on ground-level, with a number of windows looking out upon a large parking lot. I was desperately trying to close the curtains until I noticed two people approaching on foot. I promptly hid and one of them threw a large rock at one of the windows, shattering but not breaking it out.

I then proceeded to explore my living space. I found out I had a roommate after discovering a number of foods I don't typically eat - donuts, muffins and so forth - in the fridge. I awkwardly texted them: "Umm, are you my roommate? lol" to explain what had happened to the window. The dream ended shortly after that.

Well, technically I DO sleep, but damn.

Tonight is a good example, I was so tired at 6:30 pm I went to sleep. Woke up at 12 midnight, and its 2 am now. So far I've chatted with a friend, had coffee, gotten dressed, studied about commas (trying to improve my writing) and started this months' budget.

I'll likely be awake another 2-4 hours then nap before dawn.

Sheesh

That's a really interesting dream! Seems to have themes of safety and shelter, threat, and companionship, but of course your own take on it is the most important. I have very weird dreams when I do sleep. Almost like another life, they resume each night with differences. Funnily enough I've had a few where I've been looking for accommodation to live with someone else and meeting the potential room mates.

I got a pretty broken sleep but at least it was something. Tried going to bed and reading for a bit. Kind of helped but despite 10 hours actually in bed, my "body battery" only charged 33/100. Am hoping to re-train my brain to associate my bed with relaxation and escapism, rather than dread and sleep onset anxiety, and insomnia rage.

I have a lot of dreams in which I have windows immediately adjacent to sidewalks. In other words, so close that the sidewalk slabs themselves are fitted against my walls.

Early start today. Got an early night. Good news is I went to sleep. Bad news is I woke up at 4.40am and couldn't really get back off. Consolation prize is I got up before my alarm so I didn't have the unpleasant experience of being in a deep sleep and then woken up by that racket. Proper ruins my day when that happens, so I'll try to see the positive - my body and brain wanted to be awake anyway so I'll go along with it!

I'm way too light of a sleeper. I shouldn't have upped my dose of amitriptyline, but I've been worried over things. I hope my psychiatrist understands and gives me a refill sooner. The slightest thing like my son going to the bathroom wakes me up. And I don't seem to dream anymore. I miss the days I could roll over and just forget everything and fall asleep again.

@neutralbuoyancy If coward means you’re alive, I love cowards!
“new job, stable housing” could help manifest it? Idk, I hope you had a good day and have a restful night.
I keep thinking I’ll fall over asleep eventually. I may try to manifest a new job with you. 😀

I hope you had a good day. Keep acknowledging the wins. 👌

@toomuchreality
being a light sleeper sucks. every thing gets so loud. I keep some industrial rated ear plugs next to the bed. Sometimes it helps. I used them the other night.

Another wonderful night. Sort of half asleep from 12am to 5am, hourly trips to the loo due to my irritable bladder syndrome, then wide awake and restless from 5am to 9am. Multiple trips to the kitchen to try anything - valerian, l-theanine, codeine, anything. Maybe got half an hour between 8 and 9am then just got up. Feeling OK considering. Could do without severe isomnia at a time of maximum stress but when does life ever cooperate?

Never.
But soon. 🤞
