Hey, all. I am going to catch up on this thread at some point, but I wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I've been vegan for ... I guess eight years at this point. It's kind of wild. I do buy locally-produced small-batch honey sometimes, and I will eat honey if it's served to me. Other than some honey, a single jello shot a few years ago -- I was having a really bad day that day -- and food that had been described as vegan to be that turned out not to be because some people am I right? -- I've been plant-based to the best of my knowledge at the time. Ha, that was kind of rambly, but I'm a bit in a mood right now.

I’m not a vegan, but I saw something over the past couple of weeks that made me respect a vegan chef. I was watching The Great British Menu and there was a vegan chef. He had turned vegan for health reasons. His food looked so delicious. He was the first plant based chef in the competition. He wasn’t pushy either. He managed to get to the banquet and he won Champion of Champions. I felt like he did vegans proud. He’s just opening a plant based restaurant in London. He was a great ambassador for vegan food.

How did I not notice this thread until now? I've been vegan for 4 years, vegetarian 15 years before that. I am trying to limit by junk food/UPF intake but not strictly. Gotta live. :) I am single and don't make elaborate meals, just eat to live mostly.

I was the same except I was vegetarian for 30, then vegan for 3, it didn't work for me, back to vegetarianism. Simple food and meals for living.....I did add eggs back in and organic meat for me once a week this last year for health reasons.....not sure if this part will stick, lol...
