So surgery went well...just dealing with what feels like extreme brightness...didn't realize how much cataract had blocked so much light. So wearing the sunglasses inside as well. aAll seems to be going in the right direction as can see distance for 1st time in my life ...and they gave me a leave in contact for left eye...as next step will be to get insurance to approve 2nd eye. It is surprising how you don't realize you're having surgery on your eye. And to think that I may only need reading glasses after all this is just amazing. So thank you one and all for all your kind words and support
Yay!!! I'm so happy for you*hug

So, of course my life is never straightforward. Have managed somehow to get an infection in my belly button of all things -- 2 rounds antibiotics didn't heal it. So, now they took swab to find out what it is (wont mention why didn't do that at 1st but then again this is US healthcare system so pointless in asking). So, now have to talk with eye surgeon about this as may need to push back 2nd cataract surgery until it's cleared up. Why does life throw these speed bumps/blind curves?... sigh...

Apologies for rant...

Heya, @Kiwi2016 – #3 is that you begin to decorate your posts with humour that you might or might not intend: Cataracts and “blind curves”? I’m sorry — I “belly” laughed out loud. (* Acy offers more apologies for that “belly” laugh comment! *). I’m glad that your 2nd eye surgery will go forward.

Yes, 60+ brings lots of changes. I like the seniors’ discount days at some stores in my area. That’s been a good change! I hope you have some good ones too!
