@extraterrestrialone
I don't mind my white hair at all. Instead what gets me is that some keep sprouting outside my ear, mostly on the lobe, that is, the bump on the ear. If you are an extraterrestrial, I guess that makes me a mutant.
we all are really mutant extraterrestrials. who knows our true origins. i deal with it by growing my hair as long as i can. i enjoy the streaks of grey. your ears/my nose. not much we can do about that kind of thing except try and trick life back when its not looking. surely there are ways.

My beard has a few random greys in it. Up top I've got a few all in one spot, more white than grey, looks like I'm gonna have one single streak before the rest of it starts to go. Which makes me want to grow my hair long again, cause that's kind of a cool look.

As for any below the neck greys, they can fuck right off. Those are the ones that make me feel old.

Ha, I started going grey at 18 (genetics)...I'm almost 52, and more or less keep my head shaved these days (or a really close crew cut)..so if I DO have chemo in my future, the hair loss isn't one bit of an issue lol...
Same here! Heh, I thought I was the only one who thought this way. It's also helped over the last few months, since barbershops have all been closed.

There's a silver lining to everything! Pun intended?

i love mine! its like a free coping mechanism that you don’t even know is there and why. its like a badge and honor. it is proof that you’ve done the time. i think people should be happy they have it. i think it makes people more attractive. i think grey should be a popular hair color. and not actually in a tube and or bottle!

grey - it happens. it is there for a reason. does life intend to hurt you? it may do that at times but i think not when it comes to hair, it gives all women and men the power and authority that they have been struggling for all their lives. lets forget the notion that grey hair is a sign of deterioration. celebrate it. flaunt it. don’t let those bottlers and media make you think along their narrow mind set. grey hair!!! proactivate. celebrate. love it.
I love this post. Except I don’t grow gray hair. I grow glitter. 🤣🤣

Achromotrichia looks nice in my opinion. I've dyed my hair silver before but it's so hard to keep it that shade... you need to use bleaching and dyes and toners. That's how it is for pastel colours as well. Any light hair colour is difficult to maintain unless you have light hair to begin with.

Something I learned recently that I thought was interesting is that apparently redheads tend to lose colour pigment in their hair starting from red through shades of faded copper to rosey-blonde to white.

My red hair bleached to blond as a kid. Now they come in silver white. The rosey blond sounds pretty though.

I hate my grey. A pandemic isn't enough to stop me covering it! I'm a bit worried by the home hair dyes though. First time was fine, second a little itchy and the third a bit itchier so I'm going to leave it as long as poss next time. My mother just stopped dyeing her hair one day and literally aged two decades overnight. I know it's not going to look good on me. I do envy anyone who leaves it go grey.

???
Probably not, but sorry can you explain Storm ? Also, wondering if soaking grey hair in something like purple grape juice might provide a temporary and interesting alternative to expensive harsh chemicals. I'd give it a try myself if I could keep from drinking it...😁.

I think it depends on the person and how it shows up. On me, it's hideous. I never wished to be blond until this happened as maybe it would be easier to conceal.

I'm kinda glad it's not just me who genuinely likes their grey hair. I'm 25, and i've noticed a few grey hairs have started appearing on my head over the last few years, as well as a bunch of them in my facial hair, but whenever i mention it, people try to reassure me i'm not greying like that's what i want to hear. Not at all, i'm looking forward to the point i have entire noticeable streaks of grey on my head, because i'm gonna rock that look. It might seem kinda odd, but i really just want to eventually end up looking like Hank from Detroit: Become Human.
