If you got to choose your name, what would it be and why?

I have no idea.

I sort of like my name, even though it isn't very common and it is even a sort of weird "foreign" name, it fits my surname.

When I was born, lots of people gave ideas for my name, my aunt wanted me to be called "Pedro Paulo" (Peter Paul) because of catholic religious reasons (go figure). Instead my mom watched a soap opera and gave me the name of some random character.

Probably I would choose some very vanilla name of my country like "Mateus", "Thiago", "Gabriel", "Lucas". Just so people would view me as more normal than I am.

I would also have one more surname. I have only my father surname for some reason.

My great-grandfather had a absolutely sick name though, a very greek name of the time where people here were absolutely suckers for greek mythology.

@Lisa the Goatgirl

My mom and siblings all have names that start with 'M'. I wanted to keep that if I could. So I started with a list of 'M' names that I liked and felt fit me. Then I looked at the popularity of names over time and searched for ones that peaked like five to ten years after I was born. Now when someone meets me hopefully they are subconsciously assuming I'm younger than I am ;)

There are some other names that I absolutely love but just don't feel they would fit me as well. I've never heard another name that I wished I had chosen instead.

My nickname for years was Zo. People in college didn’t even know my birth name. It started in a funny way around 16 or 17. I had a huge mass of tight curly deep RED hair so some classmates started calling me Bozo if anyone remembers who that was. It quickly got shortened to Zo and stuck for years.

A fellow redhead...well, at least back before my hair begin to desert the old coconut here. LOL The hair on top was dark auburn and when I was in high school and grew out sideburns and sometimes a beard those were copper colored, so I had a two toned noggin. :)
