No. I've been finding cheap things to do, just sketching even if I'm not good, trying to learn some new music to play on piano, and I've finally gotten over the thought of the nieghbors hearing me, so what if it takes me 15 tries to get the first verse right.

LOL! I was just thinking this about singing in my apartment. I was thinking, well I better nail this or the neighbors will think I'm terrible... It's a good building, though, and I don't hear voices through the walls so I **hope** they don't hear me, either. I've done the music thing professionally and you don't get good by being good. You get good by starting out and making every mistake possible. That's what rehearsal is, you are pounding out the mistakes until the (correct) music flows through you. This is why music is hard, and I would imagine any creative endeavor is the same way. However, if it's something you appreciate, you will come to appreciate it so much the more when you hear a well-written and well-performed piece. You know how ****ing hard it is to do that! I didn't know how amazing Steve Perry was at singing until I tried doing it myself, lol. It was not even close. I was really kind of meh on Aerosmith growing up, and I still think the music is pretty schlocky. Yet - Steve Perry, holy moly. I don't know how a human being manages to get those kinda pipes!
