What have you done for self care today?

Not much so far today, I've just finished a 4 hour work stint as double priority pay was on offer. I suppose it's self care in a weird way, as it's at least earned a bit more towards the financial pots/issues. But my brain is a bit frazzled now.

I am hoping to take a little walk to stretch my legs and clear my head. I've missed the housework so far but duty called and couldn't justify missing the priority pay. There's still work to do, but I suppose it's self care that I've clocked off as I've done as much as I can.

I guess spending the day at a lavender field should do the trick.

The pretty blue there makes me think of the bluebonnets in Texas, of course then for the scenic routes about the county also have to add in the indian paintbrush flowers for a blast of color being seen more and more. A good example of the typical.

The mix is beautiful in the color. :)

Wow more beautiful colours @KM76710. I'd heard that you can drive past miles of flowers there. Now I want to travel to Texas and (?France?Belgium) or wherever @Auri was when she took that picture, so I can paint my impression of those fields of flowers irl/en plein air. : )

Actually the lavender field is in England, Kent (called Castle Farm)! It's about 10 min from our place by car, and I can't believe my husband didn't know about it, having lived here his whole life. :D Though I've heard of other lavender fields in the Cotswolds, too. There must be a few all over the country. ;)

I didn't take that specific picture (Google), but it's accurate. It was very sunny and beautiful when we went. :) I suggest going early - less people. I took many pictures to paint as well, I'm not sure what the policy is about painting inside the field.

Oh, that's such a great place to have just 10 miles from where you live. Next year, if things are going smoothly personally and globally, I might get to do some exploring of Scotland and England.

@Auri your post inspired me to search around here for lavender farms. There are some huge fields up north of me, about 5 hours' drive. :) Best of luck with your paintings!

Making all the plans, running all the errands and packing for my trip to Santa Fe NM and Sedona AZ. Heading out on Wednesday...This trip is going to be amazing and very much a self caring thing for me to be doing.
