Did my 2 miles run. Walked to the edge of the woods and set off. Felt like hard work as there were some little hills and it was quite warm, and I'd been feeling really fatigued mentally as the afternoon wore on. Decided to turn back part way through the woods, and run all the way back home to make up the 2 miles. I crested the hill again just as I clocked mile 1, and then something let loose in me, part of the second mile was uphill but that didn't deter me, I got to the top then broke onto the streets and everything melted away. I was breathing hard and finally not thinking about anything at all except surviving the next breath and the next step. As the watch clocked 2 miles I sensibly stopped, gasping, and walked the little distance back to the house. Then did some bicep and shoulder curls and a bit of core work. I did the second mile in 11 minutes and hit 9.27 minute per mile pace, likely a bit quick for a 3rd or 4th run back....
I had no niggles at all during the run and the original nerve issue has stayed quiet. Less fortunately, I seem to have irritated my left knee which is now protesting, so am hoping it's just grumbling from being expected to bear impact again and not some stupid new injury that will swiftly undo all the progress I have made.
