Ideas & Opinions Street Fighter VI

Street Fighter VI will be just like Street Fighter V but with slightly better graphics. I don't really care about it, I know I should be excited and looking forward to it, and I really hope that people enjoy it, but Street Fighter VI, VII, VIII & IX, they're just more of the same. Now Street Fighter II was exciting, it was soooo much better than Street Fighter I, I loved that game! I don't love anything any more, and that's because I'm old, I'm sure they'll all be 'ok' but the best of times have gone and there's simply nothing to look forward to anymore.

Do you feel like this is something mostly external or internal? Like say they made a new Street Fighter, but there was some real twist to it, not just improved graphics. Could you get excited about that? Or let's say you got into astronomy, mountain climbing, amateur gold prospecting, yoga, or who knows what. Would that be possible?

Amateur gold prospecting? Sounds challenging and I guess that's the point. It's safe and comfortable to keep repeating things that make you happy... I'll have a beer and watch a crappy film and things'll be a bit better, and then you realise things aren't getting better, you're just repeating the same old thing over and over and over without realising things are getting worse (how much weight did I put on over lockdown?). So you can do something different, you can get out there, which is a huge risk (I should travel but I usually end up getting lost, I should meet people but they generally don't like me, and I should try new things but I'm generally rubbish at them). That's why we make new year resolutions, this year things will change! I guess they won't but that's down to me I guess.

You don't have to be good at something in order for it to be worthwhile, you just have to enjoy it. And if you find something that you like, you may also find a community related to it.
