Is life over at 30?

Well I 've seen how my mood effects those around me. If people are vulnerable something I say could push them over the edge. It's a constant battle who I put first others or myself. My bleakness and pessimism is not going to cheer up those who want to be told it'll all be alright. If that can make them feel better who's to say it doesn't work the other way

I think pretty much everybody on SF says the wrong thing sooner or later on SF, at least every so often.

It's really impossible to always say the right thing.

Sometimes people want to be cheered up, but not everybody. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can tell someone is that you know how bad they feel, because you're right there with them.

I guess if you are posting on a thread, it's a matter of trying to decide if what you've got to offer is what's right for that member. You don't have to get it right every time. As long as you're doing more good than harm here, what you are doing is worthwhile.

That's all I can do and all I 've ever personally wanted back
I guess if you are posting on a thread, it's a matter of trying to decide if what you've got to offer is what's right for that member. It requires honesty from them and some good judgement on my part and I think I'm too far gone for that. You don't have to get it right every time. But the worst case scenario doesn't seem worth the risk

Remember, all posts are subjective. As peer support you can only give your point of view or advice based on what helped you in a particular situation. What may help one member may not help the next. Not everyone will agree on any given point, or think the same way as the next.

The diversity is what makes this a great place so keep posting. And for the record... I thought my life was done in my teens, twenties, thirties and yet here I am in my forties. Maybe doing better than previous decades.

I'm hoping my life will begin at 30 lol Maybe I am naive to think things will get better but I will for sure be taking steps NOW to help me in the FUTURE. A little sad for wasting a lot of my youth, things could have turned out so much differently. It's a little depressing but when you think of it, 30 is really not that old. Still time to have children, travel, meet new people etc. etc. etc.

I'm not sure I want any of those things and feel I might have got everything out of life I'm going to but that's just me. That's probably a classic symptom of depression right there. I thought you were older petal just because you're such an experienced vip
