Current events in the US

It is Friday, June 13, 2025. Yesterday a California Senator was forcibly removed, put to the ground and handcuffed during a Department of Homeland Security briefing. He was released minutes later.

I find this terrifying, if they (the feds) do that to a Senator during a news conference in front of the press and multiple cameras, what are they doing to the ordinary citizens.

Posting a quote here from judge Breyer, from the news source sacbee online which is reporting on recent events in California. Breyer is the senior judge in San Francisco district court who is presiding over the case titled Newsom vs Trump. The question is about the us president sending the national guard and u.s. military to the civilian protests in Los Angeles without being asked to do so by the governor of the state. My opinion is the law needs to be interpreted and defined so as to maintain democracy and uphold the u.s. constitution.

I am so very tired of the mess in the US, and the world. I can't help but feel we are on the verge of WWIII. There are massive protests planned throughout the US tomorrow. I can't help but wonder how many of them will turn into riots and how many people will get hurt, how much property destroyed. I am supposed to be at my niece's for a graduation party. So far it doesn't look like any of the protests are in the way, but who knows. They often wind up on the freeways shutting things down. And, already my route we be effected by construction closures. But I guess that is minor thing, except to my niece's daughter. Then there is the military parade Trump is having. A total waste of money set up to satisfy his over inflated ego.
Then there is the increasing conflict between Israel and Iran. I will never understand the continuing hatred for jews. But it seems that us seriously flawed humans must always have something to hate. If that conflict continues for long it will have major affects on prices of everything. Not to mention all the deaths and possible escalation to other countries.
Then, locally, they are still searching for the father who killed his three young daughters two weeks ago. How could anyone do that to their own kids? Perhaps he will take his own life and rid the world of a monster.
