I'm new and I'm nervous to post

I came here as a result of current events in the USA. I don't know how much I can refer to news events. I'll just say this particular event has left me devastated. I'll post in my story.

I think it's ideal for SF to be a place where people can get support regardless of their political affiliations and views. Political debate would probably get heated and undermine the forum.

I think you could post in "Ask the Staff" and see if there's a way to talk about this without creating a problem.

Maybe there could be a private chat room for people who are mourning recent events?

It may help to know that there are many people who feel the same way do. Joining a protest community might offer a lot of support and opportunity to express yourself.
