Hi Ivan, Ukraine? OK, if ever you have to leave - we are a family of 3 (Africa, European) and we always have a nice guest room - no costs.
Hi, Survivorist. :)

Thank you. :) It's very kind and I very very appreciate it. :)

I can't leave my country now. Despite the fact that I can't join the army (because I have hard obsessive-compulsive disorder), I need to make plenty of documents to leave (because I'm a person of conscription age). And I just can't do this because of my mental condition now.

I live in Kyiv - capital city. And it's comparatively safe place now. Just rocket attacks *hiding:) (yesterday I wanted to post some photos in thread "Sunsets around the World" :)).

Funny. I wanted to leave before the war and before my mental conditions got worse (due to "treatment" - maybe I will write about it in another thread) to start "new life". But today I just want to end current one. :)

But I just want say "Thank you! :)" to you. It's very kind. :)*thumbsup

I can tell you it's not always better to live in America. We have plenty of problems here, too, and I say this as someone also born in Ukraine who immigrated here when I was 6 years old with my mother and brother. I'm 34 now. I don't know how it was in Ukraine, but COVID was truly awful here. The opioid crisis is awful--dead bodies just laying in the street and getting stepped over like it's normal. This is currently happening right in my city as I speak, Philadelphia. I also have plenty of mental disorders and it's difficult to find work because of it here also. Just figured I'd tell you to hopefully make you feel better about where you currently are because that's where God put you and it's where you're meant to be right now.

Hi, Aurelia! :) It's nice to "see" you! :)

Yes. Many Ukrainians who leaved Ukraine first of all told about huge amount of homeless people in big cities in USA and Canada, what happening on the streets and other problems. But others, who arrived to smaller cities in Canada for example has mainly more positive opinion and glad to be there.

Different people have different wishes when they leave Ukraine. By the way, regarding my surroundings, people who leaved Kyiv - not always best representatives of Ukrainians with corresponding features of mentality. :) But it's only my opinion. And it doesn't apply to people from fully destroyed or occupied cities. I don't know which categories of people leaved these cities.

One of the reasons, why I can't leave Ukraine is that due to my mental condition I can't work almost at all. Maybe in different situation and with good therapy it would change, but I don't want to live only on government and citizens aid. So... :)

When I wanted to start "new life", I wanted to study and then live in countryside in the Nordic countries. I like cold and wind more than heat. And in North there are fewer insects. :) I remember that you also wanted live in Norway. ;):)

That's exactly where I've always wanted to live also, the Nordic countries. Also, I didn't mean that I don't like living here. In many ways, America is blessed compared to the issues other countries are experiencing. Like I said, I just wanted to offer you some hope that even if it doesn't work out, it's wise to love where the Lord has put you regardless because He does it for the good of us.
