I met a trouble that I couldn't post pictures anymore. 0Maybe because I'm on public access? But I could do this before, posting pictures in the Coffee House.
Just now I had a try, I can made a picture uploaded here in this thread. But not the Coffee house. Before, when I PM with a staff, I couldn't send a picture either, but for my safety.
Thank you.

Hiya Raven
There should be nothing preventing you from posting photos anywhere, public access or not. Is it happening in all areas of the forum?

Thank you so much for replying! Now it becomes normal in the threads I tested after I went back...*hiding And I wonder can public access members send pictures to staff via PM? last time I failed.

I believe so, Raven. There's nothing preventing you from attaching photos in a message. You can try me if you like.

I'm sure that photo was fine, nothing to really see in the picture but I've deleted it.
I dont know, I don't attach photos like that so I'm not sure. I go to "attach files" at the bottom right of the message and do it from there. Then it loads it and if you want to put it big / IN the message then you can do that OR you can leave it smaller (as an attachment) for the other person to expand.

That is so weird. I'm definitely using both PC and mobile to attach pics that way.
Well hopefully someone else comes along who uses your way and can pitch in a few words to help you out. Sorry!

Sometimes it doesn't load if the picture is too big (in Ko) and I'm not sure if a message always appears to tell you it doesn't work.
For the button "Attach files", it's weird... Even if you refresh the page? or is that in PMs?

You're sweet. *hug I also think about you all the time.

If it's in PM, it could be an extension of the public access thing that you can't attach files, the same way you couldn't send pictures before for your own safety. *dunno

I'm presently public access (I believe?) and indeed, when I went to my drawing a day thread, the editor contains no tools to embed or attach an image. If I select the image icon, I get a different dialog than usual asking for a URL.

I was about to post a question about whether the site had been modified, perhaps not to allow file uploads for images, but sounds like this is related to public access or limited accounts?

Hi there, @DouglasW Actually this error/fluke appears to be related to Google. Google was recently sued for some infringement garbage and it seems to have changed the way that uploads work. You have to either save the photo and attach it as an image down there on the bottom or copy and paste it right on. Seems the URL link isn't working just in the last several days or week. It's not you or public access or limited accounts or anything. Sorry, we've yet to get the work-around on this.

Not sure I understand that chain of logic but I'll take your word for it. What do you mean "attach as an image down there on the bottom"?

Hope some fix can be found. I like people sharing pics inline :)

There is an attach files button on the left corner if you are on a PC. It's located a little different if you're on a phone.

You can also drag and drop pictures right into dialog box. I tend to drag and drop, because I'm too lazy to copy paste.

Yeah, you can still post pics, it just has to be done another way. You can click copy on a photo you want to off the internet and then paste it right in. You can also save it to your device and then use the "attach files" on the bottom left on this box to add it. (where it'll bring up your photos on your phone / PC and you can pick it from there and attach it)

Also, not understand your copy/paste tip Nick. I tried both copying the file from the Mac Finder and copying the actual image data from within Preview, and neither allows me to paste into SF's post editor.

You can just drag them over and drop them right in where you type the text. It performs the same function as the attach files, without the hassle.

Don't try to use the image button at all, it doesn't work. Literally just put it where you type your regular text, like what I'm typing right now. I figured all this out the hard way myself.
