Jim’s cafe - Wed.August.20, 2025

Hey all, just realized I haven’t opened any cafes this year. Ya, last one I opened was in December lol.

Anyway - hope everyone is well. I’ve been missing seeing a cafe for the last few days so thought I’d post one today.

I made this “pick a pic” collage a couple months ago lol so thought I’d share it here. Feel free to reply saying which one is your fave of the 6 pics in this, or just talk about how you’re feeling, how your day/week has been, or whatever else is on your mind

It was nice to see, been a while since i saw a cafe. Not sure if the cafe's just been quiet or people stopping tagging me in them.

I have to go with pic #1. That penguin is just too cute for the others to stand a chance.

As for how i am, i'm good overall. Feeling positive and upbeat.
Still feeling under the weather with whatever's gone wrong inside me though, and today the weather's quite cold. Made all the worse by the fact my electric blanket doesn't seem to be working. Either way though, i'll fix that today, so it should be sorted by the end of tomorrow at worst. Might see about borrowing a space heater in the meanwhile, or maybe even taking off the AC's window frame so i can shut it for the winter. if i go that route, i'll have to hope we don't have another heat spike though.

I like number 3. Mainly because blue has always been my favorite color. As to how I am feeling, I just long for death. I tired of this life and this world.

Anyway sorry you guys aren’t feeling good right now, I hope you’ll all be feeling better soon. I’m not doing “great” either, but mostly out of guilt. Cos of my sleeping being messed up again, for not eating as well as I should and for not exercising as much as I should too. Wanting to lose some weight but very hard to get the bad habits changed. Working on it though.

Anyway, not sure if this will help in any way or not, but here’s some hugs if you want them

I really like 1,4 and 5. Penguins are adorable and remind me of some people i care about. I also love penguins and their love language. 4 looks like a watercolor painting of Mt. Fuji. I love watercolors but I am not very good with them still. 5, sunrise or sunset, could be either one. I like sunsets more for the ending of a day. Over a body of water, ocean or lake, makes me feel calm to think of hearing the water against the shore line.

It is nice to see a cafe. Thank you for posting. 😊

I like 6 because if you've ever seen baby donkeys you'd know they are one of the cutest things ever!

I'm in a productive mood, painting the trim outside on the windows and doors. This has been a long project between hot, hot weather and rain. Will be glad when it's done lol
I'm also babysitting which presents other challenges. Thank goodness the girls are getting older and are much less needy!

I like number 2 best - no idea why, just the abstractness and colours.

I'm exhausted, work is hideously stressful the last few weeks. My colleague is on long term sick leave so I'm having to do both all her work too. The extra pay with all the overtime will come in handy but I really need a rest!

I'm waiting for surgery at the moment and my consultant has said I will need 6 weeks off minimum so I'm praying she's back before I need to be off haha!

I think 5 is my favourite too, for the same reason.

I am doing OK today.

This week it have started to feel like autumn in the morning. And I have functioned much better in the beginning of the day, up to lunch time at least. Have got a lot done last few days.

I gotta go with the penguin, number 1.

I heard it said that all Japanese landscapes are of Mt Fuji, or have Mt Fuji in the background or, on the rare occasions when neither is true, it’s because the artist was standing on Mt Fuji when they painted it.

I like the butterfly. I love all of them actually because of the colors.

Hey everyone, just wanted to say thank you so much for all the replies here, it has definitely brightened my day a lot reading what everyone’s written. You’re so welcome for posting the cafe and the tags too I’m so glad you like the collage, the colors of the pics and think it’s fun as well

It has definitely inspired me to want to make more. I will try to put at least 1 winter pic in the next one I do, and also an owl and at least 1 or more other animals.

I’m doing pretty good overall, aside from the guilt about those things I mentioned in post #7, and general worry about various things, I’m not too bad. It’s gonna be my bday in less than a month now so looking forward to getting to eat yummy cake for that lol.

Realized I never said which pic I pick. My fave of those 6 pics in the collage is tied between 1 and 6. Both those animals are just so adorable imo lol :p
