I don't like my body because it's unhealthy yet the motivation to change is so hard.

I'm 5 foot 10 and around 250 lbs, so I'm definitely obese. I'm likely prediabetic as well based on my bloodwork. Additionally, I'm an alcoholic, which is straining my liver as evidenced by my liver enzymes being elevated. My blood pressure is chronically high and my cholesterol is bad as well.
I really don't like the body I have as a result. I want to be lean, not skinny but buff yet lean. I know the solutions: eat right and exercise daily. Yet it is so hard to motivate myself to do so. I feel trapped.

What's stopping you from eating right? Do you eat too much junk food and do you really like it?
It's complicated. Junk food gives me comfort more than the healthy stuff. The healthy stuff CAN taste good when prepared right, but not in the way that brings me joy. Believe me I absolutely love green vegetables prepared in a healthy way like grilled brussel sprouts. Delicious. It's just that the junk food is easy to access and brings me short term joy.

You're a good person, and it's going to be a lot of work but you can do it. The junk food is addicting, so, and I'm not sure about this, but it might take a few weeks or even months to get free of it. I hope it's okay, I want to say you need to forgive your self for having gotten dependent on it. Could you take away one category at a time?

Alot of people use food as comfort but if you step back and realize food can be used as mednice and nutrtion is not just good for your health but mental health you'll look at junk food differently and you feel better emotionally and physically you'll be healthy too
