Some questions

Hello , I want to ask few questions. You can obviously not choose to answer it even if you read this. Before I begin , it's just my point of view. I know I can be wrong , all together or in your opinion and that's alright.
I think I am not welcomed here as I used to be. What I mean by that is people rarely reply to my threads ( yes they do but it's usually one person ) , I don't see some people who used to reply to my threads anymore , I don't get tagged in the Jim's cafe anymore.
Yes no one owes me anything and I was expecting some things which I later understood was wrong because obviously no one owes me anything , this site is huge maybe there are other concerns people want to look out , maybe they just don't have the capacity to reply or include me anymore , maybe they just don't connect with me or don't like me which is okay too humans are like that.
It could also be because of the way that I am or have been lately.
So I understand all this , and I know this very well that no one owes me anything and now I don't expect anything either. I still wanted to know what is the reason. And I want honesty even if it may look cruel or harsh to say to me.
Obviously I understand you may not want to answer this and that's completely fine. If you do want to answer this though , I hope you would be honest because I really want you to be. I will not justify myself when you will reply because then it will probably appear that I am trying to argue which I am not looking for , I will probably just acknowledge all that you will say. If you would want my pov , you can write that into your reply and I will give you that.
Lastly and very important I am not sharing this to complain , not at all. I am just curious and I wanted to be honest. I understand and I mean it , nothing that I have said is in sarcasm
That's all , thanks.

Honestly, Congratsbaby, I've been wondering where you were, and how you are. People often start to feel better and don't need this forum any more, and quite often they quietly leave without saying goodbye. Maybe people thought that's what happened to you?

Everyone is welcome here. I think when people don't reply it's because they don't feel they have anything helpful to say. You don't have to wait to be tagged in something like Jim's Cafe. It's not like that here.

How are you otherwise? You recently had some big deciisons to make. How's that going?

Hi Congratsbaby

SF as a whole has been less active than it previously was. I think this is more of a factor in your posts not receiving replies, and in no way a personal reflection of you or what you have posted. You've shown nothing but care and concern for others here also. I hope you're doing okay.

I see , thanks
It could be if we are talking about the past 1 month but I actually have been feeling this prior to that as well.
Mhmm that's a factor I acknowledge ( that they may not reply because they have nothing helpful to say ) .
I am not good to be honest , thanks for asking. It's going okayish , I am doing progress with my application. But reference , and I need to take some tests and learn more about few procedures.
How are you doing licorice ?

Thankyou for replying harmony. Do you wanna tell since how long has SF been like this ?
Well , I have actually said some criticizing things or things that may appear like so.
But nonetheless , I acknowledge what you have said. Thankyou for being kind 🙇

Hi Congrats I like reading your posts. I remember a long while back, I think it was @KM76710 who wrote that when I can't think of something to say it's fine to use the like button. I appreciate that, it gives me an option when I don't have the right thoughts.

I've been noticing that when I feel really low I don't post as much. I came on to the forum sometimes and see posts, and feel so bad that I catch myself - I can't put my negative thoughts down, it'd be wrong. Actually I've probably posted way too much negative stuff here, and I'm sorry about having talked too much; it's because haven't been doing well.

Or, I come across someone's thread's been that's there a while and feel they may have moved on from it, &/or I don't want to seem like I'm copying or simply repeating what others have said, so I don't write anything. I haven't seen anything in your posts which indicates you're anything but a good person having a hard time. Like most of us.
The site seems quieter in general.

I hope you can start feeling better, and, keep us posted. (h) if you want.

I always read. Hopefully I may have some advice that might be of help and give it. I agree with the slowdown but it may be from any number of things, people getting older, busier or Summer activities, hopefully fun ones for themselves. I know that for the past two months I have had much less time with work schedules which hopefully coming up will be getting back to what was normal for me two or three months ago with things not as rushed each day. 11 plus hour days of nothing but work related is wearing.

I see . I didn't think that anyone would like reading my posts here , thanks.
I understand what you're saying , I understand your reasons as well. Thankyou for being so kind , I appreciate it. If you need it , you can take it - it's okay if you posted all the times that you did on this site , that doesn't make you a burden.

There are a lot of factors that go into the number of replies a thread gets, or getting tagged in Jim's cafe. Getting only few replies or tags doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Threads with a long OP tend to get fewer replies. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't make long threads, it just means that people are less likely to invest time replying to one long thread than replying to 3 or 4 short ones. Also, if the replies themselves are long, that also usually means it takes more time to read the complete thread, and that often reduces the number of replies too.

How many people are online when a thread is posted, and how many people are online when a thread gets bumped up on the New Posts forum also effects replies.

The title can effect replies, depending on how much it grabs the attention of readers.

There are also some threads where there's no obvious reply, or it seems like the OP doesn't want a reply.

I'll usually only reply to threads that have no or only few replies. As the post count gets higher, I'm less likely to respond. So for example if you start a thread and get two replies, and then add a couple responses to those replies, it looks like there's been plenty of responses (you can't tell from the post count if it was the OP or someone else who has posted).

There's also generally a Summer slowdown on internet forums.

There's probably some other things that effect replies on thread, but I haven't thought of them. If you want particular members to reply to a thread, you could try tagging them.

As far as tags in Jim's Cafe go, if you often join in (even if you don't get tagged), people will probably get the idea that you like participating and would be more likely to tag you. I often don't get tagged in Jim's Cafe, but that doesn't really bother me, since usually I'm focused on replying to support and crisis threads.

Hmm I understand what you're saying. Thankyou for answering.
