In further defense of introverts

I'll preface this by saying that I don't know if introverts are even hated or mistrusted anymore but if they are I'll just say that the receptivity of the introvert can make a person feel really special, I mean I would say I'm either an introvert with occasionally social moods or an ambivert, let's just go with the latter, and I have a friend on a messaging platform and she doesn't speak much and in her presence I shine, I just say plenty of creative things and she laughs, adds a tiny bit to the convo, and it seems we really gel.
Plus if you're a fast and energetic speaker then an introvert is the exact conversation partner you're seeking regarding efficiency cause otherwise you might get into the kind of convo where you're (accidentally) interrupting each other and then saying "Sorry what'd you say?" and you both feed off of each other's energy I guess but you may also not feel that very well heard since you're both talking just to hear yourselves speak.
There's a whole spectrum of extroverts of course, there's the self-centered ones and then there's empathetic ones that speak with good intentions.
TLR - introverts are great listeners.

This has already been said somewhere but I'm letting you know that your introversion is appreciated and even respected by me. Librarians tend to be introverted and I do love libraries.

I'm an introvert, too. But sometimes I talk a lot when there is an interesting topic to talk about.

Just wanted to say - thank you for supporting introverts! I feel like they are still sometimes, even today, misunderstood and definitely a bit undervalued at times. Just cos less is “said” I think a lot of people assume that means there is less “known” or sometimes even less ability, understanding or general intelligence. That’s a real shame imo, and often could not be further from the truth. I don’t get the feeling they’re “hated”, maybe sometimes a bit mistrusted though but I’m not sure. Would be an interesting thing to do a survey on actually.

I feel like I’m an introvert and kinda always have been, but never felt like I was a particularly “smart” one lol. More like fearful of people (especially mean ones, lol) and so very cautious around ones I don’t know very well. So maybe that’s more to do with a bit of social phobia, hard to say I guess. I do usually feel far more energized from peaceful, quiet time than some loud, draining as hell event or whatever. I love libraries too and always have. All those books, just heavenly imo
