L.Reuteri helps with depression and anxiety

A while back I came across a video with Dr. Berg about Lactobacillus Reuteri.
Scientific studies prove that Reuteri stimulates oxytocin production in the gut. This is a very good hormone that makes you feel a little bit loved.
I bought myself a yogurt maker 3 months ago. I make yogurts from this bacteria and others. It eases my depression and anxiety, although it doesn't eliminate it completely.
I hope it helps you as well.

Thanks ! I have sleeping problems myself, I'll try this bacteria. Even though I have IBS , It may affect it
I don't really understand what IBS is, but if it's gut issues, it's nutritional issues, first and foremost. You just need the kind of nutrition that is right for you.
As for the Reuteri. Not only does it improve your sleep, but also your mood. However, in the studies and videos I cited, they use inulin in the recipes. I have eliminated it as it causes excessive gas. It makes great yogurt without inulin too!

In this video, Dr. Berg talks about how depression is closely linked to the gut. And also talks about the uselessness of antidepressants.
At the end of the video he talks about L.Reuteri.
I've been eating this bacteria for a few months now, and I've really noticed an improvement in my condition. At the very least, I have become less irritable and my sleep has greatly improved.

I've actually switched to eating sourdough bread because I hear its got L.Reuteri.
Sourdough breads contain mostly yeast. If there is L.Reuteri in there (which I doubt), not very much. L.Reuteri has to be grown separately to have it in an amount that will have a therapeutic effect.
Believe my experience, making yogurt from it is very easy. If you need any advice, let me know. I have made a great many times this yogurt before.

I read about it after you mentioned it here and previously. It sounds promising. What I found interesting in as well, is how certain foods feed the 'bad' bacteria and yeasts in our gut. Taking in the good bacteria leaves less space for the bad guys to proliferate. I've been drinking goat's milk kefir every morning and feel it is very good for me. I might get a small yoghurt maker too, so I can add L.Reuteri to my foods.

Thanks for this @Gard. I love anything with references, as i like research. Very interesting.
I also like everything with references. I'm a bit of a researcher myself. And to some extent, I trust research.

I used to love kefir. Now I don't drink it as often, but sometimes I do. L.Reuteri is my yogurt for every evening. I eat a sweet bun + 100 grams of yogurt + 1 cup of warm water = I fall asleep easily and sleep well.
