In 2019, I did a lasik surgery for both of my eyes so I won't need to wear glasses anymore. I remember after doing it, the clinic's staff did an eye test for me to see my the surgery worked. I "failed" some parts of the test but he said that it was normal because after the surgery my eye wouldn't be healed 100% yet, but it would slowly healed. So I wasn't really worried about anything. I hate wearing glasses and contact lenses. Well, with contact lenses I struggle with putting them on, but maybe if I actually learn on how to properly do it, it wouldn't really be a problem? And to be honest, wearing contact lenses was a bit traumatizing for me as when I was younger my mom would scold me for not being able to putting them on. I would feel small just thinking about it.
As years go by, I don't really have any problems with my sight, it was pretty much perfect. Sometimes I get blurry visions but it's usually because I just woke up and I don't have my sight 100% yet, but as the day goes by, it would be normal again. Or I would get blurry visions when I'm tired, but I would just assume that it's normal as when I'm feeling great, my visions would be fine.
Fast forward to this year, 2025. Earlier this year my skin got really dry, even the area around my eyes got really dry as well. Sometimes it got really itchy too. So I decided to get a moisturizer and an eye cream. I would put the eye cream twice a day and thankfully it helped moisturizing all area of my skin. Then I realized that sometimes my visions would get blurry the whole day, but I just assumed that it was because I was tired. This would go on for a couple of days. I told my sister about it and she said it's probably because of the eye cream. She had the same experience with an eyelash serum. I thought that made sense so I stopped using it for a few days. I got my visions back (like maybe 95%?) after not using it for a couple of days. But I gotta be honest that I love the feeling of using the eye cream, I feel awake and it's so refreshing. So I started using it again twice a day, everyday, and it happened again. Blurry visions. And it disturbs my days, I can't really see things properly, and I started getting worried. What if I actually need a prescription again? And I remember the lasik doctor told me that I do need to take care of my sight because it's possible to get the prescription back. I don't want it. I haven't got back to the doctor to check on my eyes in years. I'm scared to tell my parents about it, but I know that my sight is very important because I can't live without it.
I would appreciate any advice, or if anyone has the same experience. Thank you.
