So angry

Stood up to a bully at work for the first time ever today. She had told me in the past that I was incapable of doing certain tasks. Today she said that about someone else to me.

I told her it was completely inappropriate for her to talk about people like that and she should think about how she says things. She kept making excuses as to why she was talking about this person and said she doesn't care and will keep doing it. I just kept telling her how wrong she was and that she shouldn't do that.

I'm still so angry. Thinking of going to hr in the morning.

Well done! @SushiGirl. It doesn't matter so much what she said, in respect that shes just going to keep doing it. It's great that you stood your ground and what you believe in. Sounds like you spoke to her in an assertive way.
Be careful it doesn't get out of hand, hr might be a good root to take.

I’m assuming this is the person you were talking about in the other thread? That she’ll talk badly about you to others while talking badly about others to you is pretty strong evidence that she’s lying about all of it in an attempt to look better by comparison.

Yep it's the same person. Lol when I woke up today I saw a meme on Facebook that says "speak the truth even if your voice shakes" i guess that's what I did but pretty loudly (not shouting or anything).

The worse thing was she did it in front of 4 new people. It was there first day there.

That can be a big problem for her. HR is often quite useless since they defend the business. If she had just said it to you then she could always claim her word against yours, you are making a big deal out of nothing, but with 4 new people HR may decide she is promoting disharmony, discord among the employees.
