Hello everyone :) A lot of us struggle to clean because of mental health issues and the stressful and heavy lifestyle nowadays. Have you found yourself in an incredibly dirty and messy house or apartment? Aurikatariina (it is not me ^^) is a fantastic lady who cleans unrecognizably filthy places for free and posts her processes on YouTube. Zero judgment, she is incredibly positive and enthusiastic about her job and full of kindness. One of those angels. She is based in Finland, but I believe she travels sometimes, too.

If she can't reach you or your place isn't dirty enough for her, I still encourage you to take some form of action to clean your place. There must be professional help out there, but you can probably ask friends or family as well if they are openminded and kind. Remember, most people enjoy helping others.

A clean fresh house is revigorating. A new beginning, a great start to a better life. :)

I am lucky - I am so minimalist, that there is actually not a lot to clean. Maybe a plate (if I eat), or the floor.... This is done in some minutes. So. it has its advantages. I only have what I need and use every day. My whole wardrobe will only fill one suitcase. The small furniture (I have a table for 3 persons, a sofa and a bed) do not belong to me - but came with the apartment. And - it's forbidden to smoke or drink in my apartment. I could even live without a kitchen - I rarely cook (mostly I just drink fruit and salad juice, coffee, milk and tea). Still - the apartment is so nice - in the attic, with wood, open fire place... What more do I need?

i love reading good news about people. Thank you @Auri . I grew up with someone who was very messy so I have veered toward being tidy, but I know that once a place with lots of stuff becomes too much for a person, it's almost impossible to help them. When the person I am referring to died, their saved belongings were literally pushed into a large hole with a tractor and then burned. It was really sad.

Ive watched quite a few of her videos. I need her help. I've asked my kids but they are...too busy? I have a hoarding disorder and I can walk past the piles that have accumulated over the years without noticing them. I feel embarrassed even disclosing this 😕

Thanks for the hug @DowntheRabbitHole . *hug

I have the sort reverse problem if that's even a thing; I miss my possessions and place I left behind overseas, often to the point of being overwhelmed with it. I'm embarassed about this attachment but it's how I feel.

It's understandable, at least to me, to miss those things. They were familiar and hold memories. Don't be embarrassed by missing them.

I on the other hand love throwing away stuff. I only have a few things i would miss, like my plants, computer and bed!

My missus loves to buy boxes to put into other boxes to "keep things organized" which makes me physically sick :D
