Updates and upgrades

As all have noticed by now the long awaited updates have been started and in fact are in large part done so far as the forum is concerned. We will be working in the background the next few days reinstalling a few smaller options but the overall update has been done. The mobile app will be installed over the weekend and hopefully ready for use by the beginning of next week.

We do have some tutorials we will be putting up to help people adjust to the changes in the site- they will be up this weekend.

There will be a donation link put back up in the next few days. We really do appreciate any donations we get - these sort of upgrades are crazy expensive- in total over $1000 spent on the upgrades and developer to do what we have done and will be finishing in the next few days. Either chat is not working or me and my MacBook no longer have access to it. Please let me know what is happening. I will also check back tomorrow.

How do you do a hard refresh on Mac with Safari. I am tech challenged. I really hate these damn things and may just wind up forgetting chat. Am afraid to do a hard refresh.

Phoenix, have you cleared your cashe / history etc yet? This is working for some folks.

Ha. Yup. Def having lots of chat issues. The forum is great but that is flaky as heck still. Buggy. It'll come round. Let's keep track of who is locked out for the moment.

Try clearing out all of your active apps current session then try and go back in that has helped me in the past when I am having issues and I actually did that today

For mobile chat, try requesting the desktop site on your phone/tablet

I am so glad all seems to work with my computer. Otherwise I would be lost as well. Couldnt access chat this morning and remembered I read "press ctrl + F5" yesterday here somewhere. Then found F5 but not "ctrl". Then tried "strg +F5" and it worked. I know this shows how "green" I am with computers but I dont care. For now I am just proud I solved it. Yay!

Interesting! Must be a US/UK vs German thing. Okay, great. We'll be keeping that in mind also. whew. This is a lot of debugging! Great job. Glad you are in and things are going well. Enjoy

I got my chat to come back by changing the theme. It was on "default" I switched to light /dark/ or standard and has been there ever since ion any of those 3 themes. The hard refresh did nothing for me.

What about clearing your cache if you are on mobile? That and changing the theme worked for me today.

Post me a screen shot showing standard light or dark theme with no chat on the bottom.

Until somebody can actually post a screenshot showing the problem it will not get resolved ... just saying cause without anything to go on except multiple different descriptions it is not possible to trouble shoot..

1. Clear your cache - if you do not know how google clear cache for (enter type of mobile device)
2. Change themes from default to one of the 3 themes set up - standard , light , dark- there is a nav link at top to change themes.
